This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels.

What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.

More of a personal ramble than anything. It's hard to say anything concrete without spoiling.

I mainly felt both DI and KKK characterized their villains better, whereas some in Senshinkan got the short end of the stick, even the main villain of Hachimyoujin, while cool doesn't just have the same draw nor receives as much needed screen time as DI's Heydrich and Mercurius who are hyped up all from the start of the game. Bansenjin also does similar kind of things as KKK main villains wise, but in my opinion worse and not only because of repetition since they were just literal dream bastardizations of the originals from the first game rather than actual characters with motivations (again makes sense for the plot they were going for but not to my liking) and Bansenjin's main villain also felt too close to KKK's Hajun with how both were essentially about rejecting other people (though for different reasons) and both weren't really proper characters but more of a looming background force that gets their proper introduction as a character only at the very end.

KKK was also exact opposite to Senshinkan as far as the group of protagonists go, a collection of memorable oddballs who certainly were nowhere near nice guys. DI's protagonist wasn't that special in retrospect, but his friends and allies were certainly irregular and not just about "we only want to survive this shit and go back to normal high school life". Like I also said I didn't really like the eventual handling of Senshinkan's battle royale either and felt that DI did it better. Most heroines apart from the new girl in Bansenjin also felt kind of unmemorable compared to DI and KKK.
