Rather prefer Tsukihime, mostly for the visual design. In terms of plot and writing both are rather hilarious (and mean that in a most complimentary, enjoyable way).

Just tell it as it is, if with a bit more diplomatic language. Say you borrowed the framework for writing excercise and never intended it for circulation. If you're getting along well with the teacher you might probably want to discuss your motivations and the differences from Tsukihime, otherwise it's probably best to keep it short and without too many details.

Come to think of it, sort of prefer the dysfunctional slice of life most doujins seem to go with over the actual endings. One where everyone lived happily ever after (for the time being with disaster brewing just under the surface), Arc loafs around and lovingly torments Ciel daily, and Nero shows up uninvited for mystery nabe.
