Aside from bumping Ran's EX boss status to second place, Yukari tends to shove Ran down in the polls or in popularity.

Ran's theme song? Remixed to become Yukari's theme, one of the most popular and yet Ran's original theme is usually a dozen places down the list or more.

Ran's outfit? Yukari wore the purple blob for PCB but then started to wear an elaborate version of Ran's in IaMP, IN and subsequent appearances.

Heck, Ran is the one supposed to be doing all of the work in the first place while Yukari sleeps throughout the day... Yet it is Yukari who you'll see making the appearances in the subsequent Touhou games as an assist character.

Ran is Alice without the fandom that treats her like a big yukkuri.
