iam in year 4 and nowhere close to this but i wasted 2 years because i didnt find DJT yet and spent it with useless shit like learning kanji disconnected from sentence or learning onyomi readings seperate.

i think if you go hardcore smart strategic study and have a teacher and japanese native speakers at hand its possible.

as the average weeaboo like we all are who is socially awkward its much harder. you can probably read your favourite mango within 5 years.

btw i can watch the first few kill la kill episodes with JAPANESE subs and understand 90% and feel like a god.

i also think the only reason i did this until now because i actually really enjoy learning japanese even tough iam not really good at it.
