Imagine if you could throw away any tool, and it would become a tsukumogami.

The resulting tsukumogami would spread bad rumours about you to other tsukumogamis and Mamizou or even challenge you to danmaku on sight, unless you befriended them or took them back as an item (re-adding the tool to your inventory and despawning the character). Also being near one of these tsukumogamis (if not hostile) would also count as you having that tool in your inventory which would also give a relationship bonus when you use her.

Imagine the future story of the Anon who threw away his fishing rod because of 2hus wanting him to fish for them, had it come to life, befriended fishingrod-chan, and then went on a date with her, and on the way home got asked by a 2hu to go fish, he accepts because it's more time with his tsukumogami girlfriend. He then serves her a freshly-cooked meal cooked from the fish that they caught together.
