No, the (sound) logic is that Higurashi is the original 8 stories that were released back to back upon whose conclusion the series was agreed by everyone to be done. Even the minority of you who believe Matsuribayashi is bad have to concede that it is clearly part of the same story.

Gou on the other hand was made fifteen years later long after R07 had moved on to other inferior projects, deliberately set itself apart from the original series by first selling itself as a remake and then a blatant rewrite of the first couple of arcs, and clearly only exists so that R07 can make more money since Ciconia clearly isn't doing well (which is why he still is doing everything he can to not finish it).

If you can't see the difference then I guess it makes sense that you consider Matsuribayashi to be garbage, you clearly are just stupid.
