Traditionally a Nijiura Maid is a female maid with a single major dominant color for her dress and a white apron. Her name is often a noun or a verb which is indicative of her appearance and/or general behavior, and it is written [relevantword]i. Ending in i is a near-absolute rule.
There are plenty of oddballs though, like ~i, whose name is incomprehensible and whose behavior is comically insane.
