I think it has to do with the fact Reimu and Seija share similar, but opposite color schemes.
Seija has a white-dominant outfit with red as the secondary and blue as the trim while Reimu has a red-dominant outfit with white as the secondary and blue (sometimes) as the trim. Very fitting too that you have a mentally deranged, psychopathic murderer being paired with Seija, as only the worst of the worst would be attracted to her.

I watched loads of Touhou PVs as a kid, but only started playing a while after HSiFS came out. I've since played all the main games but I haven't 1cc'd any of them, as they are very hard and I am very bad. I've read a couple manga and I have a couple doujin games I'm procrastinating on.

Seija and and Reimu? I'd imagine she'd look like Reimu but with the itty bitty horns and have Seija's dress but with Reimu's detached sleeves. Dunno how powerful she'd be though.
