Alright, I think I get where you're coming from now, and you're okay.

The sort of person I'm riling on about is the type that reads a genderswapped version of romeo and juliet (which is to say, one that swaps out the names and pronouns of the original script), thinks they've witnessed some kind of important statement about our cultural heritage and decides to write their fucking bachelors thesis on it. It's a meme. The reason it's a phenomenon isn't that it's insightful, but only that it can be done to almost anything. Stop pretending to be an intellectual when you can't even think outside of categories other people have decided for you. Sorry. I'm done now.
