You're making a lot of assumptions in asking this that just aren't true. People like different sounds, so people like different 'loids. Why make a rock song instead of a pop song? Why be a NEET instead of an engineer? The answer is because of personal taste and personal choices. Not everyone thinks Miku sounds the best. And even if they're getting better, her multilingual voice banks are especially bad. Do not kid yourself.

And not everyone consumes their music through singles on YouTube besides. In fact, only secondaries do that, so their opinion is irrelevant. Someone that only looks for Miku music is also a secondary and thus equally irrelevant. If you're a real fan you consume music by the album anyways, so I would argue that view numbers on a video don't matter at all.

And then if producers really want to, they can use bigger names to draw people in and then use lesser known 'loids that they enjoy the sound of for songs that are actually a labor of love, instead of a soulless cash grab. Because, y'know, music is just as much a form of art as it is a career.

If I'm gonna pander to anyone, I'm gonna pander to the people that love the music and are gonna buy my albums, and not the ones that just want to look at Miku shake her ass on YouTube. But to each their own.

Also, please stop using "wholoid" to mean "anyone that isn't Miku," because if you genuinely want to be taken seriously, that's not going to make that happen. Though she's the face of it, Vocaloid is more than Miku, waifufags be damned.
