It's over. v-tubing is a dying industry. At the end of the day, it's just a bunch of voice actors talking behind an animated 2d caricature that has the same three motions and facial animations.
As such, it lacks the emotive and expressive capacity of real life humans. That is why it will never compete with real, genuine human streamers.

Plus, vtubing is marred by talent companies that have established an oligopoly on the market. This is not healthy for the future of the industry. As public interest in these major companies decrease, so does general interest in vtubing. That's the curse of having these big companies. Why watch an indie when you can just watch a holo or niji? And when they get boring, why bother watching an indie? You develop a false impression that all the best talents/designs/animators/riggers make it into these big companies, when in reality that isn't the case.

The market is extremely oversaturated and has already hit it's demand ceiling. Niji especially, though we're already seeing it with hololive and holofive being a pretty big let-down by almost every metric of success.
With the lack of a sustained, steady influx of new consumers, introducing new talents just further strains your already limited viewerbase over even more individuals - and that hurts the earnings and income of not only the individual talents themselves, but the firms. The management of this many talents is extremely costly.

But it's a curse. A cyclical curse. If you, a major talent firm, does not introduce new talents - people will lose interest in you. And when they do, they will lose interest in their oshi and watched chuubas as well. That's a loss of revenue.
But, if you introduce new talents, you're even further saturating your viewerbase and market, and you're also going to hurt your revenue - with the increased variable and fixed costs.

So what can you really do? Nothing. Continue your trend of periodic, sporadic, biyearly special event streams for each talent, sure. That'll remain interesting and novel for a few years, perhaps. But you already see the long-term JOP viewers bleeding out, those 3D streams aren't special anymore. 3D debuts, costume debuts, they get the big numbers - everything afterwards just flounders in comparison.

HoloEN wasn't an outlier. It was COVER's way of engaging a largely untapped market. And it worked - but temporarily. The rapid though fleeting growth of each EN chuuba was the product of a perfect storm of media attention - p*kimane vtubing, OTVfags recommending g*ra, v*nti, hitting the front page of reddit multiple times, etc. However, the fact that their growth fell off that quickly is another huge red flag for COVER and the v-tubing industry. The largest market on the planet, the western market, is extremely variable. They come and go like petals of rose in the wind. The wind softly brushes against Gura's cheeks as she leans in for a kiss. Amelia's eyes are closed, her bangs lightly tickling Gura's nose. Streaks of moonlight dance between their two figures, as they embrace and melt into one another on that cold, starry night.

Mori has worked multiple jobs, has gone for days without sleep (40h+), and is capable of swinging a 300lb scythe without breaking a sweat. As such, her endurance, recovery, and strength are highly ranked.
Her skill is above-average, as she is capable of fine eye-hand coordination and has a history of playing pick-up basketball. It is not up-to-par with her other athletic parameters, however.

1. Gawr Gura (TIED)

Endurance 15/10 (limit broken)
Recovery 9/10

The shark of holoEN demonstrates some genetic freak-of-nature athletic capacities. For one, she is strong enough to compress her extremely heavy ring-fit ring with relative ease.
Second of all, she is capable of heavy lifting of certain objects such as a vacuum cleaner.
She also demonstrates ridiculously high levels of stamina and endurance, as she is capable of taking on RFA level 30 with ease - and barely panting afterwards.
Her recovery is remarkable as well. She was capable of doing yoga RFA less than 14 hours after her first RFA stream - with little to no DOMS.
She only struggles with skill - she has no history of playing any organized sport and seems to be fairly airheaded when it comes to eye-hand coordination, reaction time based tasks, etc.

3. Watson Amelia
Skill 8/10
Strength 10/10
Endurance 8/10
Recovery 5/10

Evaluation of Amelia Watson's athletic performance is reserved until more evidence of it is available, though an initial prognosis is made here.
She appears to be highly skilled - capable of constructing sofa's and other IKEA furniture from scratch. Though this is an easy feat for men, it is difficult for women due to their lack of spatial awareness and processing. She demonstrates remarkable eye-hand coordination and reaction time, with her performance in FPS games.
To be able to carry Sofa's and other furniture by herself also elucidates her remarkable strength.
Stamina is rated fairly high, purely from the standpoint that she can sustain long streaming periods. Though an RFA barometer is necessary to derive a more precise estimate. Recovery is decent to average, as she often takes breaks between streaming.

3. (Tied) Takanashi Kiara
Skill 9/10
Strength 7/10
Endurance 10/10
Recovery 5/10

Kiara is extremely skilled, having engaged in pro-wrestling in the MEN's league. This also suggests, therefore, that her strength statistic must be significantly above average as well.
Like Amelia, she streams a lot and likely has very high stamina - though she takes breaks often to recover and regenerate. Until she does an RFA stream, no accurate estimates can be made on her recovery and endurance statistic.

5. Ninomae Ina'nis
Skill 15/10 [LIMIT BROKEN]
Strength 1/10
Endurance 0/10
Recovery 0/10

By inferential reasoning, one can extrapolate her immense levels of talent in drawing (which relies on precise motor movements, a keen and reactive visual perception, and a fast-twitch muscle reaction) to any skill-based athletic task.
Unfortunately, she is extremely out of shape. She lasts for about 7 minutes on RFA, she's gassed from running around her house for 5 minutes, and she wants to take a nap immediately after eating some takoyaki which was immediately after her waking up from another nap.
Her strength statistic is also by far the lowest in holoEN. She appears to only be capable in lifting a pencil at most.

I'm open to any arguments you may propose towards these rankings.

festivaluna is back
basically what happened, is that matsuli felt guilty about abandoning luna while she was sick/injured from her 3d subaru collab, etc. but realized she wasn't good enough to be her girlfriend/wife yet, so decided to work on self-improvement before asking for her forgiveness.
she separated/dissociated herself from other chuubas (hoshikawa) that she was lusting over, and decided to focus on just making herself a better person so that her and luna could actually have a stable, consistent relationship - seeing as they both already have (or used to have) excellent synergy.
a few months later, luna found a new set of friends. aki, rbc, subaru, choco, etc. she's basically ghosted matsuri and keeps trying to tell herself that she hates her - but deep down she still harbors feelings for her.
matsuri, on the other hand, went through social therapy, relationship counseling, books on relationship tips, etc. she managed to bring herself back out of the menhara hell-hole and once she was confident with herself as a bridesmaid, she messaged luna on LINE (or discord, probably both) asking if they could talk in person.
luna ignores it at first, but after a few weeks of begging she gives in and accepts. basically what happened (i wasn't there, but a source close to me tells me) - matsuri basically poured out this extremely emotional and sensitive plea to luna, saying that she had always loved her, etc etc.
luna, having realized that matsuri isn't filtered by her infantile fetish and actually wants to have baby-roleplay sex with her, happily agreed to her marriage proposal.
now they're basically going to get married, but only a few holoJPs know. they use the "little sister" shtick as a cover-up for an illicit workplace relationship.
