It's mostly the opposite for me. I don't usually skip between games ever, even after knowing Japanese. I try my best to finish up games if I could. The only thing that would push me to switch up is if the game isn't very interesting after several hours or the Japanese is very complex/unconventional to the point where it gets tiresome to parse each line. ex. chuunige
I'm still not 100% fluent so I have to take breaks with otome which are generally easier to digest in comparison.
