This is a joke death, where you tie a piece of thick piano wire to a mount on a roof, and a loop around your neck. You glue your hands to your head with epoxy, and wait for it to dry. You then jump off the roof, fall about 16-20feet (enough to sever the head), and then it will look like you tore off your own head.

Downside is, you're unlikely to set it up right, and will instead collapse your windpipe and slam into the wall, after which the cable breaks, and you fall and break your legs. After which taken to the hospital where you live.

The realistic way to do this, takes a lot of work. You go buy about 100-150 feet of 3/4-1" steel cable, and a couple u-bolts. You then drive out to the country, loop the cable around a strong tree (>12" in diameter), and place three or four u-bolts on the cable. You then make a loop of the other end, which goes around your head. Hop into your car, and floor it downhill. You'll really only get to about 30mph in a crappy car (like a 1990 camry), but it's enough to shear off your head. Too much work for someone depressed. Seriously, just go with the freezing if you want to die. It's doesn't cost anything except gas money, is accessible in most places in the country, and is peaceful and painless due to going numb.
