I'm familiar with the first album. No cringe on my end.

I like that they're branching out and dashing preconceptions while also keeping the Babymetal fire stoked. From what I can hear in the music and surmise from reviews, I believe they put a lot of fun into the album and they haven't lost their way. They still got it. Either my tolerance is high or I just happen to love what they're doing. Whatever they do, I want them to do it well and I think they are.

You can call it dad rock, hard rock. soft rock, woa rock, arena pop, or watered down Babyrock for all I care. I like to feel music, not put it into subcategories. If it works, it works, and it works for me. I feel that the new songs have strong hooks and retain their unmistakable charm and I love The One's cheese. Even if I felt lukewarm about a few songs, I think I would be cheering them on anyway because goddammit I love 'em and they make my life a little bit better. I hate to think I would spend my time bitterly criticizing everything and wishing they were different instead of loving the one I'm with. I wish everyone could feel what I feel, I wish I could say the magic words.

You can call me a fanboy, tell me that I'm cringeworthy, or that I'm wrong. Whatever it is that I am, it feels good being it, and if I'm wrong, I don't want to be right.

If you don't like it or you hate it, that is fine. It's only music after all. You have your reasons, I have mine. I don't mean to come off like an asshole.
