One last thing. Oyashiro-sama offers protection to the people of Hinamizawa. As Hanyuu was symbolically killed in Nekodamashi, the protection she offered was gone in Nekodamashi and the rest of the Gou arcs. That's why the symbolism was a bit weird. Remember, there was one of that in the world where Hanyuu was alive and well while she was alive and well. Oyashiro-sama isn't a demon that curses, but rather the one who protects the innocent people of Hinamizawa from the curses from the future. People started dying all over the place when the future Miyuki started to think of ways to save Kazuho. That world lacked Oyashiro-sama's protection. Cotton Drifting isn't some demonic sacrifice like Takano implied, but rather the people of Hinamizawa offering their sins to Oyashiro-sama to be erased. Sins might not be erased if the erasure results in Unknown Bad Outcome X. Such as the erasure of a person. That doesn't mean the sin isn't forgiven. After all, Oyashiro-sama is merciful. From a real-world perspective, there isn't a difference between the sins being erased and never happening, so there's no hidden hypocrisy to be had.
I think that really does it for tonight. That should logically negate most if not all loveless theories we've seen since Gou started airing.
