Gou itself showed that isn't true. Satoko went through multiple Matsuri worlds with looping Rikas and even Hanyuu copies.

Ryukishi had talked in the past about the world expanding in multiple different ways after Matsuri.

Mei also has explicitly shown Mei Rika/Satoko as separate characters from Sotsu Rika/Satoko too. And Mei Rika also remembers the original 100 years. Yeah, "Mei". It's still an official product and Ryukishi had done some writing for its set up even before the recent fully R07 Umineko event. And the fully R07 written Umineko event mentioned Rika talking about St.Lucia in 83, something that happened in Mei but didn't in Gou.
