Search trans on the hinamizawa discord or on umineko twitter and marvel at the cult-tier groupthink and the violent reactions when someone falls out of line.
I can understand the rationale that there are a lot (as in, a LOT) of tranners in the community and discussions that go counter to their self-image might be uncomfortable, but "oh no, someone might get hurt by these arguments" is such an obvious cope that it's probably even counter-productive if your goal is trans acceptance. It's each persons freedom to decide for themselves what to believe and voice those beliefs (though obviously if they do it maliciously that's a problem), and by forbidding people from contradicting the orthodoxy they'll just come to resent you AND the worldview you're trying to canonize - and while the second is going too far, they have every right to hate you personally.
t. grew up in a Christian community and had to deal with the same shit from my 'brothers and sisters in faith'.

But anon, all texts are inherently political. To attempt an analysis from an apolitical position is pointless.

The politics of Umineko are that of a conservative rich Japanese family in the 80's (Rokkenjima Prime) contrasted with modern "free love" and trans-acceptance (Meta). Ryu07 could be making the argument that in a perfect "magical" world, love could take all forms, but in the "real" world, things are much more cruel.

You could even do a Marxist reading where the Ushiromiya family are the bourgeoisie and Sayo/the servants are the proletariat. Not sure where the magic characters fit in that case.
