People think it's "right" to let them live, but really they end up as a burden on everyone and everything they meet. No parent loves a child with mental retardation, because every parent that has one is forced to love it by society despite the stress it imposes on their life. They try to fool themselves, they use politcally correct term to refer to their children's condition to downplay it, but deep down they regret keeping them alive. They knoe that the day they've been told their child had Down's was the death knell for all their lifelong dreams.
18 years is one thing... the rest of a parent's natural life is another.
