I saw someone saying that shitaboku really improves after they finally stop teasing it and get to the reveal, and I kinda feel the exact opposite way. Once the shenanigans are over it's a straightforward moege. I'm not saying they should've stretched it out forever, they couldn't have milked it much longer without it getting stale, better to just use all their ideas and move on.
