I don't believe this story, and even if it's true I don't think that anybody, even you, should take that as evidence that you shouldn't try to engage with people about the subject of a game you like. I'm one for one on showing questionable people Touhou because my (much more well-adjusted) cousin dug EoSD- I say your story and my story cancel out and that people should put themselves out there because you miss every shot you don't take!
