Back on Pooshlmer the name space was just nameless fairy instead of anonymous. But I wouldn't be the least surprised if they had bots bumping all those god awful yukkuri threads,
even more obnoxious than when the bantzfags here would make all those sanny template threads. They looked so crude that they were just these really autistic pencil doodles that someone probably drew during their special needs classes.

Now the pre PAD, slutty sanny, honking Chen 2009-2010 memes from back then I could say were a whole lot less obnoxious, mainly because they actually lived out their usage when they should've, before being beaten over and over again like a dead horse.
I think most anons here may have forgotten all about Chugoku, Cho-Marisa, Princess Tenko Ran, big fat Letty, Ex Rumia, KFC, ξ・∀・）, wild Merupo, CAVED, Manosuke, but thank god "onee-sama~" Youmu died out right when it did.
Can also recall a few forced memes like "does Alice leak poop?", the Walfas and Iori E stuff and zombie Reimu, due to her greenish skin tone in MoF. A lot of the 2005-2007 doujin artists, right before the pool became so over crowded, had more of tenancy to focus more on their own shtick
or brand of humor rather than just copy-pasting whatever was popular at the time and jumping on bandwagons like meme whores. Like comparing Hole of Yago's old stuff to "life of a maid" is like night and day despite having similar cartoony styles.
He had like this sorta 2×2 = Shinobuden wacky humor, where even one of his own original character was literally this two-headed, Onsokumaru looking, UMA camel, that borrowed the appearances of both Kamachi and Marisa for some reason.
Speaking of colonel_aki, Isikiriba pretty much fathered the whole "wholesome SDM family" before it was ran into the ground and did it right without so many tired gimmicks, with a much cooler Sakuya. But his crack pairing with Sakuya and an obsessed stalker Alice really came out of left field.
Red Tako also had an interesting take on things with the way she portrayed Reimu without being such and overpowered asshole, just a slightly more likable one and more feminine. Also liked the way she'd combine both slapstick with more dark/brutal humor (Remi using pliers to make her fingers more jointed so her hand posing was more "unique").
All and all, you had your share of annoying secondaries (me being among them) back then but at least memes were actually allowed to just die out gracefully before they'd enviably turn out becoming painfully malignant.
