yeah, this is definitely not a coincidence. just add more question as to why someone that is able to transform into a panther would be a childhood friend to a nanaya. there is also the whole theory that rather than just a childhood friend, she is shiki's relative but that create another set of questions but at the same time her character design (especially eyes) is very reminiscent to nanaya shiki. her character is a puzzle, and i love it. the good part about her is that it clearly indicate that the nanaya will get some focus in red garden unlike the original. definitely one of the most interesting addition to the remake in my opinion.
