Tearjerker is an exaggeration, I'd agree. But from my impression seems the agency the guy running is a small time. For them to compete against the like of T-Powers of B-Star and win with their ace that was struggling sound like Cinderella story for them.
Amatsuka Moe that came second ran massive twitter campaign and even appealed in English, with Toda Makoto winning Sky Perfect Award earlier their agency would go all out securing double crown.
