Shannon's eyes do get a bit more serious at times, but overall she does look cuter while Kanon looks more bishonen. I guess technically it makes sense canonically. The bigger issue for me is that they look much more similar in the original art. In the PS3 version, it's harder to believe the two could be a single person.
