I have to imagine it's because Mion is scared out of her mind, locked in a dungeon watching Shion kill and torture people. She initially puts on a tough front to get Shion to let her out, but obviously that doesn't work.
Maybe she's scared of how Shion would react to the truth of the Sonozakis not being involved, and the knowledge that Mion kept this from her the whole time.
After all, finding this out breaks Shion when she realizes that all of this has probably been for nothing and she was barking up the wrong tree the whole time(but she blocks that out and goes back to feeding her paranoia/anger).
