It's reasonable, all things considered. That's what she wanted, that's what she got. It would be nice if she could accept Hinamizawa again and find true happiness with her old friends.

Rika's role in Reiwa seems nastier to me.
Ryukishi is isolating her quite forcefully and crudely. I get it's supposed to be a story about the kids but still, this is just lazy. She gets into a convenient plot mechanism accident to begin with. Tells nobiody. She doesn't even get to meet the club. They don't come visit her in the hospital. Literally all she does is answer some phonecalls and kill herself. She's a couple of looper beads away from Satoshi's original role at this point. Just laying in a hospital bed without anyone knowing or caring. With the exception that people cared about Satoshi. She controls the loops and doesn't do a damn thing.

Well, ok, maybe that's all because Reiwa's ending will be a happy soppy scene where Rika finally has a nice reunion with everyone in Hinamizawa... and maybe even chooses to stay? She's traveled the world for decades already. The other great families still respect Furude for some inexplicable plot reason. Could be for this.
