it all started when a bunch of fans started supporting her because for being the "underdog" of hololive (they were the ones who started the "INNK is a bit..." thing), until her 3D debut happened. It was basically an even bigger gamechanger in bilibili, and it does help that her redesign is a massive upgrade on top of appearing familiar to the Chinese there which makes it easier to get into
though she doesn't really have any inflated subs like FBK, just a bunch of dedicated fans that still supported her in the shadows instead of jumping ship when Taiwan happened
