I'm pretty sure there is none other than the author himself that most wishes for his product to succeed. Perhaps the answer is different for everyone but is it not reasonable to either learn how to draw or avoid drawing at all when you realize you suck at drawing ? Or maybe have someone give you some pointers and you'll go modify the drawings yourself ? Or is that still too disrespectful ?
What kind of pride is this ? What kind of sickening enjoyment does one get from confounding potential buyers ? Does he work alone in the dark and there's no one around to give him a piece of advice ?
