I used to visit it, just to get an additional touhou content income.

But then I was chewed out for criticizing someone overlaying a rage face on a Reimu image, when he could've at least gone through the effort of finding an appropriate Reimu image instead.

It was very upsetting.

Character development is for losers, resetting everything to the status quo after every game is where it's at.

But seriously, Koishi's story and development were basically reset as if the Extra stage of Touhou 11 and HM never even happened. What was the fucking point?

Koishi really does have a tragic backstory.

Which is why I find it really damn jarring how there's all these sweet family doujins where Satori and Koishi just get along swimmingly completely glossing over Koishi's closing of her third eye.

Thinking about it from their points of view, it seems something akin to well...

Think of a racial minority of some sort. This person was hated for what she was and got so depressed, did something to entirely change who she was in an attempt to get accepted by white people, but ultimately missing the mark and performing something close to a lobotomy on herself. Now imagine that person had a sister who was weathering the hate and then learned her sibling had mutilated herself into something that she could barely conceive or even remember.

It seems downright horrifying from Satori's point of view and extremely depressing. Hated by the world and her only family was not willing to stand with her. Maybe even wracked by guilt from failing to prevent Koishi from closing her third eye.

Koishi's situation however seems even more terrifying. I think, sometimes I hate that I think, but generally I find it useful. I cannot imagine what it is like to not think. Would it be similar to being dead already or maybe just a non-comprehending animal? Like a human being that goes through the motions of living, but failing to think about any of it?

Well, whatever Koishi is. It's really damn philosophical.
