Still hoping we can see a naked ryu someday so we can figure out how those extra limbs under her breasts work. Neither the profile art or the black and white art seen here (also by KC I think) really show us, and most fan art just ignores them.

My current theory is that they sprout out sort of where a regular dragon's wings would be. Though just what purpose they serve I am not sure at all on.

Ryu can fly, have a magatama thing on their chest, fur on their back, and horns that look a bit like antlers.

They might have an extra set of hands holding their breasts too, that's one thing that has always confused me about the design.

It's neat to see this idea presented in the settings books at last, even if it seems like it may just be a belief among monsters rather than a studied fact about their abilities. It would explain a lot though.

To the point though, I can imagine many scenarios for how this "somehow you'll just know" sense could play out. A ryu with a pick of sacrifices points to a innocuous farm boy she spots in the distance, a mantis hones in on one seemingly random man in a caravan and snatches him away, etc.

So any thoughts on if KC's ryu has a short pair of extra limbs beside her chest or if those are just some kind of decoration she wears? As far as I recall KC's only drawn ryu one other time and she still had those odd extra hands, but we haven't seen one naked by him yet so I'm still unsure (and even that might not prove it, since dragons can retract scales and other parts if they get in the way).

Similar issues exist for the oomukade, namely if any of the extra limbs/projections on her are not actually connected to her body.

I could do with some rain.

I would like to see a ryu spark a rainfall when flustered.
