Crypton Future Media, INC. (Head Office: Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan; CEO: Hiroyuki Itoh) has
announced a crowdfunding campaign to be launched on February 6th (Mon.) 11 AM (JST), 2023,
for Hatsune Miku Online Concert “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2023 VR”. The campaign will aim to fund a
free online concert, as well as a free stream on VR platforms. Details about the backer rewards will
be announced on a later date, so please stay tuned.
“HATSUNE MIKU EXPO” is the world tour series of virtual singer “Hatsune Miku” by Crypton. A total
of 68 concerts have been held in 30 cities around the world and more than 190,000 people have
attended the concerts so far. In the past few years, when the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
spread worldwide, we have been delivering "Hatsune Miku" concerts in the form of online
streaming. In 2021, we gathered more than 60,000 viewers for the online concert “HATSUNE
MIKU EXPO 2021 Online”.
The online concert “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2023 VR” will be held when the funding goal is reached
in the crowdfunding project. This is the first campaign for the series in two years. In order to have
this live show reach as many fans as possible, MIKU EXPO 2023 VR will be streamed for free
(platform TBA) as it was the last time. Also this time, we will be adding VR streaming as many fans
had requested.
Along with the crowdfunding campaign launch, we will be holding a song contest and a costume
contest based on the theme “Toy Box”. We hope that those with the means to do so will help to
build the concert into a special experience for everyone around the world
Details for the crowdfunding rewards and the contest will be announced in early 2023. Crypton will
continue to work on making the first “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO” VR concert a reality, so please stay
