Pretty decent. I got one through shades from Pascal. For those who don't know, Pascal is a level 65 unique dog that joins you when defeated. She has 216 breeding power and only produces shades. That means that you'll randomly get shades of any creature of around that level or lower, which you can put in a ranch to get more of the actual creature. I got a variety of monsters that way without having to put in effort to catch them, although it is hard to tell what shade is what kind of creature.
