They had it coming, yes. Saya never had any real concept of human morality (go figure), and by the end Fuminori had become a bigger monster than Saya. They deserved what they got, to be sure.

That's why I'm confused as to why I was so sad when they died together (not to mention all the other endings). Maybe it's because of the dandelion speech.
