The problem is that with Vocaloid voicebanks they really only have one chance to make it right in basically one generations. Even Miku only got one patch that I remember (in her chinese voicebank, and mostly since she wouldn't get a V5 otherwise).

As long as NT engine reaches parity with Vocaloid, they can just keep patching the voicebank until it gets the result they want, so a Luka v4x scenario wouldn't happen.

I guess it might be because there is so little canon that all vocaloids are ridiculous multi-taskers. Miku for example can be a tsundere, a sadist, a tomboy, a killer nun, a fallen angel..., so you don't need more than her for all those roles. And with a 5-6 vocaloids you can have even more possible relationship dynamics than any gacha game with hundreds of characters.

There is a miku mobile game announced, which I hoped it would be for example to collect all versions of Miku's from many song, but it's basically BanG Dream! but with Miku as a side character.
