>This is one of those creaky, old-fashioned Brit mysteries featuring Satanism, spinsters, a GOLDEN HAG, automatons, amputees, impostors and false claimants, fright masks, Thumbographs, and escapes from the Titanic. Even so, I can't recommend it unreservedly. I have a feeling Carr might be the poor man's Wilkie Collins. What I can recommend unreservedly is the terrific purple cover art.

>Golden Age mystery
>Often involves disproving supernatural elements through brilliant deduction
>Often creepy
>LOCKED ROOMS. LOCKED ROOMS EVERYWHERE.

I'm on to you Ryukishi you motherfucker. Forget Dine, forget Knox. I'm pretty sure you know that John Dickson Carr is where it's at.

I'll use these books to carve the heart out of your tale motherfucker.
