Good to see you're doing well yourself too, Majimasis! 2024 is the year of dragon, let's hope it's a lucky one for wellness and we'll get good stuff for BL/otome even if it is sparse.
>Glad you are doing well, sis! Building a goblino shrine is tough, sis but well spent money and well deserved!
Thanks! Figured I might as well just shell out some $$$ to keep my mental sanity since I've been eyeing on some things for long time anyway. Majima mechandise is often the most expensive as expected from best.
>If only we could summon a devil and teleport us to a Majima isekai.
I wish. Little devil gnome arsonist Majima lives rent free in my head. Reminds me when I saw that Stellaworth 特典 illustration with Yuriko/Shiba vs. Majima. Want...

>Compared to BL, the erotic content in otome ain't the best eyecandy indeed
The ugloo Ken doll tier bodies could be a lot better but for whatever reason, it's somehow decided to not include a lot of traits that make men, well men in otome. I'm not sure where this came from at all so I just headcanon it's pic related
And yeah, I noticed with Aromarie in particular that they're probably one of the few who even bothers with female povs CGs for their games. I can definitely appreciate that even if the ero content isn't perfect. Seeing Majima up close in his first h-scene still warms my heart. His smile is so lovely.

>Yoshiwara Higanbana
I'm dumb so I got confused for a sec and thought Kotomi Youji was the artist for that game lol. But yeah, Yoshiwara Higanbana has a nice style and happens to be really high on my backlog for R18 otome, too.

>Paradise
I came mostly for Furukawa's work but I also love Azuma's and Mitsugi's VAs. The characters in Paradise are such cheeky bastards where the voicework just makes it better, I love it. Kitayama did such a good job at portraying Azuma's casual facade vs. his battered little girl screeching/moans.
I'm starting Takara's route soon which will probably take me another month to read... but I'm totally looking forward to the FDs! Can't wait to read about Nanjou and look more into everyone's backstories.
Tbh as much I like the horror genre in VNs, I wasn't so impressed at the beginning since a lot of it reminds me of those old trainwreck American slasher horror films (in a really over the top, shock value without much reason way) Though unlike those movies, the characters do grow on you. The writing style also shines as the story progresses more into the heavier themes. I thought the bad endings and the latter half of Matsuda's route was great at describing the ambiguous tension and fear in the violent scenes especially. It's that sort of heaviness with the wording which really enchances the experience for me while reading in Japanese. On the flipside, the lighthearted banter is also very entertaining - had lots of fun reading Mitsugi's route for that reason, too.
I'm pretty much done with English localizations but it'll be interesting to see how the TL compares! Looking forward to seeing more commentary from others. If it does well overseas, maybe we'll get to see another game one day. Hope they'll get Kotomi Youji again or at least keep his art style...
