In fact, I'd been wondering about that. Had a long-haired redhead come to see them earlier? "A long-haired...Ah, that Ki girl? Oh yeah, she's been around. Could hardly get a word in edgewise with all the stammering she was doing." That did seem to fit what I'd expected to happen given her reaction to finding out that the Prismrivers would be by at all. "She a friend of yours? I saw her talking to a blonde girl in a pretty dress, too." That one, I replied, was mine. "That right...? Good taste, eh?" She favoured me with a grin that actually did make me swallow slightly nervously before catching myself. Raiko Horikawa had a real way with words, it seemed. She, like Toyosatomimi no Miko, seemed to just bleed charisma, and I reflected that it was no wonder why Kisami had found herself so flustered. I mean, even I felt flustered, and I was planning to propose marriage to Yamame before the sun had finished rising.

Still, that did give me an idea, so I suddenly asked if they played weddings. "You gotta ask? 'Course we do. We'll knock your socks off, as well as most other things you happen to be wearing. You got a particular wedding in mind?" My own, I replied. "Hm...Feel free to come by the other girls' mansion. Just don't try and mess with their stuff. Wouldn't dream of it, I replied.

A moment later, I heard footsteps. "Raiko, what are you doing back here?" Reimu's exasperated voice reached me. Perched on her shoulder was Kuro the cat. "You've got a concert to perform, you know?" She stomped closer and scooped up a jacket from the drum it was resting on, then passed it over to Raiko. She dusted it off with a spare hand, then slipped it back on. "How's business?" Reimu suddenly asked. I blinked, having never really seen her ask sincerely about the state of business to anyone. "Probably going crazy with all of the festivals that come up around this time, huh? Must be nice."

"Very nice, Reimu." Raiko walked over to the Shrine Maiden, her fingers still tapping, and her pace measured, once more invoking the idea that she was hearing something I couldn't. "Listen, I'm real thankful that you let us play here. Great acoustics, that courtyard. Almost makes you wonder if they were designed that way."

"Heh." Reimu snorted. "Brings in the money when every villager around wants a peek, doesn't it?" Raiko laughed and nodded, scratching her head. "Just remember to keep yourselves clear, right? No messing with villagers. Even this guy." She pointed at me, and I laughed awkwardly.
"Well, I'd best be off. Show to perform and all that jazz. "Er..." Raiko hummed a beat that I also didn't recognize as she hopped up onto the drum and began floating along. "See you, Reimu. Let's have a talk next time, huh?" She pointed at me. "You too, obviously. Maybe that sister, or whoever she's with." And off she went, waving once as she took to the air.

"She's kind of strange." Reimu said. "But strong and smart. Plus, she always knows what to say. Deadly combination, that."

I supposed that was true, but my skin and Yamame's fangs was a deadly combination too, and it had decidedly less favourable outcomes.
