Oh dear, loli Patchou.

I heavily prefer her adult form, as the serious, secluded, taciturn magician.

Moe, also known as Moecylius Gelatropi, is a treacherous life-eating disease which is the #1 cause of death in Canada and the United States. There are many different types of moe, all of them are characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells in some part of the body.

An estimated 853,100 new cases of moe and 350,400 deaths from moe will occur in Canada in 2008. The most frequently diagnosed moe will continue to be shota moe for women and loli moe for men. The leading cause of moe death for both sexes continues to be the Mary S(t)ue.

You can reduce your risk of contracting the moe by watching shounen, looking at guro, avoiding adorable doujins that might contain traces of moe, looking at little girls cosplaying kittens, and generally avoiding anything exceedingly cute or huggable. Also, consult your doctor if you're experiencing a weird fuzziness inside or the insuppressible urge to go "Awwwwwwww!".

Deaths by moe will possibly reach 17 million people each year in 2030 with poor countries shouldering the heaviest burden from the disease. An aging population will bump up moe rates worldwide in the coming years, especially in developing countries where the number of people watching moeblob shows is on the rise. And the disease will hit poorer countries harder because of limited moe protection and a lack of treatments such as GAR injections that can extend people's lives.

Health Canada, in partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada, continues to monitor this disease, identifying the trends and the risk factors, developing programs to reduce moe risks, and undertaking research to evaluate risks from the environment and behaviors.
