And sanae isn't among my favorite 2hus but the main reason why people hated her is what always bothered me

Just because Sakuya was the 3rd playable character in PCB alone, shouldn't make it a solid spot. My complaint instead was: instead of Sanae, why not someone who hasn't been playable so far, such as Patchouli? (SA doesn't fucking count)

No, it's a series of shoot em up video games. But other than that part, you are correct. It's a one-man project. He still releases a game each every few years; has been doing so since 1995.

A significant note I should tell you is that despite all the plethora of fancy Touhou fanart you might've seen so far, the art style by ZUN (the creator) in the original games looks like pic related.

Oh and people don't talk about the games itself that often. Some people frequent /jp/ only due to their massive boners for Touhou's moe characters. You know how fanbases are.
