Maybe this is why they fear becoming creators and losing any sense of individuality, knowing everything, being all-powerful and incapable of having proper excitement again, which cursed Featherine with incurable boredom

-Fictional characters and historical people can't do anything, but their existence is very solid. This is the state Takano wanted to achieve.

-Living humans can actually do things and have a physical existence, but they'll be forgotten at some point after their death.

-Territory lords, youkai and beings like Hanyuu can literally do magic and alter reality, but their existence depends on legends and the belief of humans, which is a bit unstable and means they can be erased forever if they are forgotten or intentionally killed by someone who fully denies their existence.

-Voyagers can visit all parallel universes, incarnate as humans in the lower dimensions and fuck with reality at will. But their existence is shaky as fuck and there is nothing holding them together other than their own consciousness and sense of identity. They are literally nobodies.

-Creators are one and all, so they are literally nothing and everything at the same time. Sort of like the Christian God. They have no individual identity or personality, they are everything that exists. It's like being dead. This is why Featherine "came back" from the god's plane of existence and obtained the power to rewrite the 5th dimension at will but was struck with a deadly boredom. If she had remained in that level of existence, she wouldn't be an individual character anymore and would be dead for all intents and purposes, becoming one with all of existence. But she came back before fully transcending and must now use a memory device to maintain her individuality. She's basically a voyager with creator powers and the device is the only thing that allows her to stay as a voyager. Without it, she'd become a full creator and "die".
