That's true, and now that I think about it I can hear madotsuki's squeaking shoes in my head. But I think dull repetition is more effective when it has occasional, jarring breaks. Think of like a David Lynch movie...they have have the same kind of maddening repetition with quite dynamic sound.

I dunno. Maybe fewer people would have had immersion problems with the game if it had a more interesting soundscape. I do think the silences were well placed though.
