Doesn't even make 1 billion per month anymore. Revenue has been falling since the start of 2019. At this point they're probably keeping it alive to finish the story after going through the trouble of writing and fully voicing it. It probably helps Tri-Ace is the one developing it and it wasn't outsourced to some third party who just wanted to milk the franchise.

Dunno if there are many new players but I still see people with beginner bonus every now and then, mostly people who started due to the Shin Sakura Wars collab. There is no problem joining rooms during the day through late at night JST it can be quite dead.
