Well, fun is probably the wrong word. Having a huggable, big pillow in your bed is very comforting.
I like to compare them with the four-feet-tall teddy bears one gets as a child (actually, the "wtf is that thing in your bed"-factor isn't much different if you're an adult male…).

>How do you hide them from people?
I don't. The few people visiting me are expecting stuff like this.
