Her song and dance (when she eventually isn't so terrible at both) could be used to coordinate little drones to repair her larger machines. Like those spiderbots Leeron controlled remotely through gloves in that one TTGL episode.
She'd still rather be a pure Engineer, though. I'd just be looking for an excuse to see her in something like the image, despite her hangups about exposing herself, and her total inability to either sing or dance.
