I can't speak for everyone, but I think it's a little more of a complex relation than that. The core concept of weight gain fetishism tends to be the degree of obesity itself, not just the physical volume they take up. Inflationists on the other hand seem to be more about pressure and have no interest in an increase in size without an accordant increase in pressurization. But these are just my observations. There's a fairly notable amount of overlap between the audiences that might be explained by the way both incorporate simple enlargement, but it's far from 100%.
