>It's simply kino in it's own right.
>It baits you in with characters you can boil down to a single word and a toku structured episodic plot, then quickly goes off the rails into unfolding the real plot.
>It does what every single edgelord "deconstruction" dreams of, showing off how something glorified as good with no downsides isn't all fun and games, except unlike those, it actually uses that as a starting point and goes off from there.
>Characters end up facing heavier stuff even media shilled as "mature" shies away from.
>Even the quirky episodic villains get their depth, doubling as meta commentary on how looks can be deceiving and being reductive of something over a zany aspect is not a good idea.
>MC ends up becoming a hero in the traditional sense of the word, someone that defies tragedy head on, not to be a martyr or for glory, but something greater, with the threat of it ending as a greek tragedy looming close by if he isn't careful.
>Characters also develop with the MC and outside his bubble, despite by all means the plot revolving around the MC, the characters still have their own lives.
>Despite all this, it's also very emotionally honest both in the plot and in a meta sense, this isn't the writer's barely disguised fetish(es), it's literally front and center with all the spotlights on it, except it's also just a good story without being propped up by pretenses of what "good writing" is supposed to be.

>EOPs just consider it corny and poorly written.
This type of reaction from people is hardly new, and all these aspects are hardly exclusive to it, if anything once you dive deep into autism they start to be there more often than not.
But man, it's a shame how much good stuff people miss out on and intentionally detach themselves from just to keep up the pretense of maturity.
