I did an overlay for that before. I found some other nice sprites and redid the alternates sheet a little, since it was kind of half-assed last time. I'll post it up once I find a little more time, but I doubt there's one specific to KiY, unless you count Hastur from Nyaruko.

Depends on what you mean by "superior". Plus has redone portraits from normal Elona, but the portrait size is different. This one is for normal Elona, since there are more rows for males inserted now. There was a guy with some decent custom portraits for god pets, but it really depends on whether you're looking for stuff for your PC, or replacements for all the face1.bmp stuff.

Some stuff acts wonky, so they recommend you transfer over a save where you're in town. You'd want a backup incase the location messes up.

Like the big post said, it's supposed to be brutal. Try to laugh a bit starting out. Getting creamed early on is more fun than it sounds since you can get revenge later.

Some of them have uses in Plus, like hearts. But they're supposed to be sold, although you get a crappy amount for them unless they're really high level monsters. I mean like, 100+ or so.
