Indeed, v1s were rereleased over the course of so many years with small updates every time that one could even differentiate them into v1.0 v1.1, v1.2, v1.3 and v1.4, with the latter being very similar to v1.5 remakes.
Pic related for example, both are v1 but the one on the right almost looks like v1.5 alice

I've noticed the same with the two alice v1s I got from YJA recently (still waiting on shipping).
The fact there have been multiple rereleases of the v1 fumos over the course of 3-4 years means gift have had time to improve on their quality, so they can look quite different.
Left was bought by the seller in 2009, the year in which she was released. Right is unknown but is probably from a couple years later.
