From what I have read over the years even though they tried the "the mtv video games and the violent internets made her crazy" bullshit she was already violent and had knocked bitches out and had a penchant for knives BEFORE she got into horror and violence related manga, games, stories and imagery. Chicken/egg egg/chicken whatever. I think she was just fucked up from birth (or early environment) and got into all that shit because of it.

Her thought processes were just jammed man.
