This is an ad for an onsen resort. Can you help me with translating these sentences?

The one previous one goes like this I think: "Before we had been doing business somewhere else, but then we managed to aquire this wonderful land and we moved. We had luck. Wonderful land --- "

What is 宿の第? Is is read やどのやしき?It makes no sense to me "Premises of the resort, it is said that the conditions are location environment." ?

I also don't know what the following sentence is supposed to mean in this context: "First we we are able to acquire the best location/ First the best location was aquired"? Is it passive or potential form?

Also, what the hell is a 歩中? I couldn't find it in any dictionary and googling doesn't help either.
